Question: This is proberbly an American thing, but when Lloyd and Harry are in the diner, they say to the waitress, "Excuse me, Flo" and crack up laughing. Why?

Answer: Flo was a saucy waitress at Mel's Diner in the TV sitcom, "Alice". She was played by Polly Holliday. Jay references her in "Chasing Amy" as well.

Question: Hey, does anyone know why Oz didn't make it into this movie? I may have missed some spot in the plot which tells why but I dunno. Thanks.

Answer: They never mentioned it, I think they just wanted us to assume that since it has been a few years they just lost touch with each other. Alot of people are no longer friends with poeple after college that they where friends with when college started.

Answer: In-movie, there was a scene where Jim stated that he spoke to Oz in Spain, where he was with Heather, and he wouldn't be able to make the wedding. However, that scene did not make the final cut. Real-world answer; the producers and writers just didn't include the character (among several others from the first two that weren't in this one, including Vicky, Heather, Sherman, and Nadia, to name a few). There was a rumor going around the internet that it was a scheduling conflict, but Chris Klein clarified that he would have done it if asked.

Question: In the scene where the three main characters are in the Texas and are being bombarded , Dirk claims that the plates are 2 feet thick. They then discover the use of armor-piercing shells. Does he mean 2 inches? I believe the boat would sink if they were indeed 2 feet thick.

Answer: While Dirk seems to be exaggerating slightly, there were certainly many classes of WWI and WWII battleships that had armor in excess of 18" thick in places. They floated just fine - in fact, they were notoriously difficult to sink.

Rooster of Doom

Question: Why do they have a girl on the cover of the DVD holding a knife behind her back (and I'm sure it's Penelope) when the killer is a guy?

Answer: Fairly standard misinformation tactic. You'd prefer they revealed the actual killer on the cover?

Rooster of Doom

Question: Could anybody explain me how did they turn Jack Nicholson into the Joker? I know it's just make up, but how did they made that Joker smile?

Answer: His smile is natural but the depressions in his face were made using fake skin and makeup.

Toolio

Question: Is it just me, or does the young priests and/or Sarah's accents change from English to American as the film progresses? I'm almost sure they did, but did anyone else notice it?

Answer: Sarah is supposed to be from Poland. Izabella Scorupco who plays her is also from Poland. Chances are she didn't try to hide her original Polish accent.

Melissa Swanger

Question: What's the name of the song that plays on the radio while they're fixing the plane? Not the Mexican song, the pop one.

Answer: "Hey Ya" by Outkast.

MoonFaery

Question: Can someone give me an explanation to what happened to Eamon's dog?

Answer: The Professor shot the dog early so it couldn't give a warning about him.

scwilliam

Answer: As specified in Seed of Chucky it's a voodoo pregnancy. That's why the pregnancy last shorter than a normal one.

Mortug

Question: When Robert the Bruce is talking to the nobles at the begining of the movie, what is the significance of him seeing his dad up above on the balcony and saying that his dad couldn't be there in person, but sends his regards?

Answer: The significance is that his Dad is not away on business he is very sick and hiding. I would imagine both he and his dad think that their position would weakened if the other nobles new his dad was sick and probably going to die soon.

Question: When he starts his first film, Dirk is presumably 17. Isn't it illegal for anyone under 18 to be in a porn film?

Cubs Fan

Chosen answer: It is illegal, but that doesn't mean that it's not possible for him to get away with it. Tracy Lords was under 18 when she first started making porn.

Jane Doe

Question: I didn't understand the rationale of Jim releasing the infected soldier Mailer into the mansion, since he knew the women were still inside, unprepared and unarmed. Anyone got a good reason why he did it?

Answer: He also knew that the women were in an interior room, upstairs, with the door(s) closed; and that Mailer was much more likely to encounter/eliminate the other soldiers who were downstairs and mobile first. He was probably gambling - correctly, as it turned out - that he'd be able to make it upstairs and either rescue the women or eliminate Mailer before they were harmed.

Brush With Greatness - S2-E18

Question: Can someone explain why Marge frowns when the art teacher is explaining The Lombardo theory, the one where he says "And here we have an adorable little bunny rabbit. It's just that easy." Why Marge seeming upset with what he just said? The reaction shot is a couple of seconds so I am assuming there is something that I must have missed.

Lummie

Chosen answer: I think it's because the art teacher is making it seem so easy when in fact it is really quite difficult. I think the line he says is something like "Yes, even a rhombus can create an adorible little bunny rabbit" - it's obviously much harder than just putting shapes together. It could also be an inside joke by the animators maybe - Marge could be frowning because it's not 'that easy' to create an animation (which she is, obviously) and could just be a joke. Knowing the Simpsons, this wouldn't be too far-fetched.

Sam Johnson

Question: Maybe I'm missing something, but why is it such a big deal that Trinity and Morpheus have to take the freeway when they're trying to escape with the Keymaker? Link reminds them that it's never been done, suggesting it's an incredibly risky manoeuvre, but why is this?

Shay

Chosen answer: Well, when they're on the freeway everybody in the cars are potential agents...the reason it's so dangerous (as opposed to, say, going by foot) is that agents in large vehicles are obviously more dangerous than agents on foot. The agents fear nothing, which is shown when the two agents in the lorries collide with each other. There are also fewer avenues of escape.

Question: Can anyone tell me where Gogo gets the ball and chain weapon from? She carries a short-bladed sword with her into the nightclub. There's no place on her skimpy schoolgirl outfit to conceal the bulky ball and chain. Is this a mistake?

Answer: No, no mistake. The House of Blue Leaves is obviously a hangout for O-ren and the Crazy 88, seeing how so many of them are there, and the familiarity they show with the place. It would only be natural for Gogo to have some backup weapons hidden away there, since she knows they come there often and stay for some time.

Twotall

Question: What song is playing right after the "costume" party?

Answer: That song is "Watch Me Shine" Performed by Joanna Pacitti. It is on the soundtrack.

Question: Was the candy in Honeydukes real and, if so, what happened to it at the end of shooting?

Answer: Some of the candy was real and was eaten by the actors, and later film crew. The rest was props. I assume excess candy was just trashed after a while.

Mark English

Question: What could possibly be the purpose of the photograph that was placed on the box in the wall? If it was there, then Lawrence was supposed to take it with the box together - but he fails to notice it. Was that their only chance to get out of there alive or what?

Answer: There was no photograph on or in the box on the wall. The contents were: A cell phone, 2 cigarettes, a lighter and a note. The picture was in Lawrence's wallet which told them to look for the X on the wall.

moviemogul

Answer: During the War of the Last Alliance (the battle against Sauron shown in the prologue), the men who inhabited the White Mountains (those between Gondor and Rohan) swore an oath of allegiance to Isildur. When he called on them to fight, they refused, so Isildur cursed them to walk the paths of the Dead until they redeemed themselves. In time, they all died, but their spirits remained - they were unable to move on to whatever awaits men after their deaths. At the time of the War of the Ring, they've been in this state for three thousand years, which has left them with a deep hatred for the living. Only when Aragorn, Isildur's heir, comes to them and calls upon them to finally fulfil their original oath, are they finally able to move on.

Tailkinker

Chosen answer: They are all throughout the film but the biggest one is when Eric is steering the ship to stab or skewer Ursula.
