Question: I remember seeing an extra scene where they discovered that the Klingon sniper was in fact a human, since he didn't have Klingon blood. Was this only for TV release, because that's the only place that I saw it?

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991)
Answer: That scene was included in all the VHS and DVD releases of the film up until 2009 when the Blu-ray (and possibly subsequent DVD reissues) stuck to the theatrical cut. It also might have been edited out of some TV airings due to the big pool of blood.

Question: Why does Obi-Wan want to watch over Luke, but nobody needs to watch Leia?
Answer: Leia was placed into the care of a very wealthy family, and would be given protection 24/7. Luke, on the other hand, was placed into the care of a very secluded home and a poor family, with almost little to no protection from outside dangers. Luke would have been more at risk if the Empire found out who he was.
Answer: Incidentally, this question is kind of being addressed in the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

Caveman (1981)
Question: What song is everyone whistling while they're carrying the giant egg?
Answer: The music playing while they are carrying the giant egg is from, "The Bridge on the River Kwai." It's a classic World War II movie, soldiers marching into a Japanese prison camp are whistling that tune.
Answer: The song being played is "Colonel Bogey March", which has the whistling in it. No one carrying the egg were whistling themselves though. Although in one shot I did see a character breathing out (something people do when lifting or carrying heavy things) which might look like he's whistling.

Answer: It's April 1981. He had received Jenny's letter where she says she's watching the news about the Reagan assassination attempt, which was March 30, 1981.

A Room with a View (1985)
Question: While in Italy, the Anglican pastor tells a joke, and the punch line is about an American seeing a "yellow dog." Exactly what is he referring to?
Chosen answer: The joke is: The American girl asks her father "What did we see in Rome?" The man says "Rome was where we saw the yellow dog." Explanation: Americans can tour the Eternal City and all they will see that is memorable or of interest to them is a dog.
I don't get it. It doesn't make sense.
What part doesn't make sense? Rome is filled with better things than a dog. To put it another way, it would be like if you went to one of the greatest sporting event live with on-field/court-side/ring-side tickets and when asked about the event you said "I thought the nachos were good."
It's a crude joke about Americans. It doesn't have to make sense. It's a joke that highlights the sense that Americans are crude, illiterate, with no culture. They believe a yellow dog (a common dog in the US) was the best thing to see.

Question: When Strange is surgically removing the bullet from the patient's brain, why did he ask the one doctor to cover his wristwatch?
Answer: I took it to mean Dr. Strange could hear the watch ticking, and he wanted complete silence.

Blue Bloods (2010)
Question: I thought Danny's wife Linda died at the blood mobile unit. Why did they change it to a helicopter accident?
Answer: There was an episode where Linda was mugged at a free mobile clinic ("Under the Gun"), but I don't know of any episode where she was supposedly killed before the helicopter crash. Linda was alive until The End of season 7 and killed off when Amy Carlson decided not to return for season 8. Later, it was suggested Linda's helicopter accident wasn't really an accident and she was murdered. In "Common Enemies", Danny arrests the man responsible for her murder.

Question: Why do we see belisha beacons (striped black and white poles topped with orange light to show pedestrian crossings in UK) during the car chase? Are they seen on USA streets?
Answer: Those were just lamps that had a yellowish globe. The poles aren't black and white striped, they're solid black. They have a sign attached to them, probably a no parking sign, though that may make it look like a white stripe.

Answer: Digimon started as a series of virtual pets, making them digital. In the television series, Digimon live in the "digital world."

Answer: He says "Look! Listen, tell them Rodrigo Guevara is down here. Please, just tell them, Rodrigo Guevara is down here! I am Rodrigo!" That was the name on the badge Peter took, but we don't hear him say anything about someone taking his badge.

Question: When Mike and Vanessa are eating at one point, there is a light behind Mike. Anyone know what it is?
Answer: If you're referring to near the end, after Ryan leaves, there's a recess in the wall with shelves that has vases and decorations on it (next to the clock on the wall). There are light on the underside of one of the shelves and the plates on the shelves are reflecting those lights.

Question: Has it ever been established that Gotham City is some sort of separate district similar to Washington D.C.? In the Dark Knight films it was pointed out that the license plates said "Gotham" on them rather than whatever State Gotham is located in. Here, we see Edward's drivers licenses and they also say "Gotham" on them, rather than a State name. Also, has there ever been a distinction made between "Gotham" and "Gotham City"? Because why wouldn't the licenses have the word "City" too?
Answer: In "The Dark Knight," we see Gotham State Police setting up barriers. In short, Gotham has never been shown to be anything akin to the District of Columbia, probably because Gotham is never meant to be the capital of the country.
Answer: It's also been referred to as its own separate state. The city, county and state of Gotham.

Question: Why didn't everyone Barnabas bit turn into a vampire?
Answer: That's for the modern day vampire. The original myths state that a person who dies by the bite of a vampire will rise as one, watch the classic Hammer Films from the 1950's.
Answer: Along with the original answer, it was only those victims where he took enough blood over a long period of time, until they are absolutely drained, did they transform into a vampire. Those victims who were only bit in order to satisfy a bloodlust did not transform, even if they ended dying later from things like blood loss or infection.

Answer: It was an electronic boatswain's, or bosun's, whistle. It's used on ships to get the crew's attention, when honored guests boarded, or at a crewman's funeral.

Answer: Short answer, no. Household drains, which flush waste water, sometimes are connected to septic tanks. These tanks don't go anywhere. Other drains that connect to a waste sewage pipe lead to a sewer treatment plant first. There, waste water is purified and treated before going back into the water. Not all plants drain into the ocean but into rivers (which could lead to the ocean, although some lead to a lake, especially if the river is dammed). Storm sewers, which don't contain waste water but rain and other water run-off, can drain into a river, lake, or ocean.

Question: Why was the robot who comes to life called "Number 5" when it seemed like there were only three others like him? Shouldn't he have been called "Number 4"?
Answer: There were always 5. You see the 5 during the demonstration. Then, before the lightning hits, we see 4 of them in line, but number 5 was still attached to the generator and not in line. When they go inside, there's a weird cut that makes it look like only 3 made the turn, but if you watch closely you can see there's 4 followed by number 5.
Answer: OK then...what ever happened to Number 4? Why does the Army only send numbers 1-3 to get Number 5 back?

Sleepless in Seattle (1993)
Question: Can anyone tell me the name of the artist who sings a jazz version of 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' played when Tom Hanks finishes talking on the radio for the first time? And where can I buy this version of the song?
Answer: Ray Charles is the singer who performs this version of "Somewhere over the Rainbow" - this is not on the original movie soundtrack, but you may be able to find a Ray Charles album where this song is included.
I found an album by Ray Charles "Genius Loves Company By Ray Charles, Ray Charles And the Count Basie Orchestra" where "Over the Rainbow" is one of the songs, but it's not the same rendition as in the movie "Sleepless in Seattle." I can't fine the movie version anywhere.
Try the Ray Charles album "Genius Loves Company." It's a collections of duets and he sings "Over the Rainbow" with Johnny Mathis. It was supposedly recorded sometime between 2003 and 2004, but his lines sounds like what's in the film. So I don't know if it's just him reprising an older version he did that was used in the film, or if it's the older version with Mathis' lines mixed in. I couldn't find anything earlier.

Answer: In the original theatrical release, the character Colonel West, played by Rene Auberjonois (who played Odo in DS9), never appeared as his scenes were cut. The home release special edition version included these scenes, including where he is disguised as a Klingon in the assassination attempt.
