Question: When he starts his first film, Dirk is presumably 17. Isn't it illegal for anyone under 18 to be in a porn film?

Cubs Fan

Chosen answer: It is illegal, but that doesn't mean that it's not possible for him to get away with it. Tracy Lords was under 18 when she first started making porn.

Jane Doe

Question: In the scene where Sarah is in the bathroom during the time when her three other covenmates are torturing her, she walks by what looks like a paper towel dispenser kind of high up on the wall that has some writing on it. What do those letters mean?

Sarah Van Winkle

Chosen answer: It says "Gustav Klimt", the name of an artist in the 1800s, and the paper towel dispenser is actually one of his prints. In the shot where Robin Tunney is walking out of the shower, you can see the bottom of the painting, although the full piece is never visable.

Question: Just before Todd Anderson has his emotional breakdown about Neil's death, one of his friends grabs a handful of snow and shoves it at his mouth. Why did he do that? It makes no sense.

Matty Blast

Chosen answer: He is just trying to get something to help wash the taste of vomit out of Todd's mouth.

Macalou

Question: Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the "island" sound versions of the various songs played throughout the movie? (like somewhere over the rainbow) I have the soundtrack, but it doesn't include all the songs.

angelus tumultuor

Chosen answer: A complete listing can be found on the IMDB page for the movie. Specifically if you're looking for "Over the Rainbow", that was performed by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0343660/soundtrack).

Brush With Greatness - S2-E18

Question: Can someone explain why Marge frowns when the art teacher is explaining The Lombardo theory, the one where he says "And here we have an adorable little bunny rabbit. It's just that easy." Why Marge seeming upset with what he just said? The reaction shot is a couple of seconds so I am assuming there is something that I must have missed.

Lummie

Chosen answer: I think it's because the art teacher is making it seem so easy when in fact it is really quite difficult. I think the line he says is something like "Yes, even a rhombus can create an adorible little bunny rabbit" - it's obviously much harder than just putting shapes together. It could also be an inside joke by the animators maybe - Marge could be frowning because it's not 'that easy' to create an animation (which she is, obviously) and could just be a joke. Knowing the Simpsons, this wouldn't be too far-fetched.

Sam Johnson

Question: Maybe I'm missing something, but why is it such a big deal that Trinity and Morpheus have to take the freeway when they're trying to escape with the Keymaker? Link reminds them that it's never been done, suggesting it's an incredibly risky manoeuvre, but why is this?

Shay

Chosen answer: Well, when they're on the freeway everybody in the cars are potential agents...the reason it's so dangerous (as opposed to, say, going by foot) is that agents in large vehicles are obviously more dangerous than agents on foot. The agents fear nothing, which is shown when the two agents in the lorries collide with each other. There are also fewer avenues of escape.

Sam Johnson

Chosen answer: They are all throughout the film but the biggest one is when Eric is steering the ship to stab or skewer Ursula.

Disney-Freak

Question: What is the song that plays during the scene when the boy kiss in the woods?

Hamster

Chosen answer: Make Your Own Kind Of Music, by Mama Cass.

Question: I watched this on British TV. On the site, I saw some mistakes talking about the ear piercing on the site. I did not see Hallie sterilizing the needle bit. Why is this?

Answer: Because that scene was cut out for TV. This is a regular occurrence so that the movies will fit in the time slot given to them.

shortdanzr

Question: This will sound stupid but I got really confused towards the end. If Gabriel was an angel, why was she helping the son of the Devil? And why did Lucifer send the son back to hell, then cure Constantine - I thought he wanted Constantine to go to hell?

Answer: Gabriel had become a turncoat because she was sick of seeing unworthy humans receive preferential treatment from God. Lucifer sent the son back to hell as a warning not to try and usurp Daddy's position. He then cured Constantine because he could see the Gates of Heaven opening to receive him after the selfless act Constantine performed there at the end. Lucifer assumed that if he removed Constantine's cancer and let him stick around on Earth longer, Constantine would continue to make poor decisions and ruin whatever chances he'd earned toward getting into Heaven. And as such, eventually, Lucifer would get his revenge on him.

Rooster of Doom

Question: How did anyone find the cameras and the films? Surely if anyone else had gone into the woods, the same would have happened to them. So can anyone please explain?

Answer: The in-universe explanation is that a student anthropology team from a nearby university was performing an examination at the house foundation. A section of stone wall collapsed revealing a pit of ash, timber and soil. When the students dug through the soil, they found a duffel bag full of tapes and reels. That was a year after the three students disappeared.

Question: In the shot where the albino is traveling in the plane to the Mud Islands, then suddenly he's back in Memphis chasing Tom Cruise. How does he travel or get there so fast? Being one shot in the Mud Islands and the next shot in Memphis, it's not possible.

Answer: Mud Island is in Memphis. You either walk across a covered walkway or take a monorail to it. He didn't take plane to get there to chase Tom Cruise.

Ingabritzen

Question: In the scene where Eversmann is briefing his team ready for them to gear up and go out, he says something like "sorry ass JROTC". What does JROTC stand for? (00:26:00)

The-Immortal

Answer: Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps is an elective course offered by many high schools, and taught by retired Commissioned and Warrant Officers, and retired senior noncommissioned officers. They do learn military drill and ceremonies, but not tactics and techniques of combat. The goal is to produce a well-rounded high school graduate who can enlist in the military at a higher pay grade. The joke, or derision, has to do with JROTC cadets who can March and salute.

Chosen answer: Junior Reserve Officers Training Corp. You have JROTC in high school and ROTC in college. It's a way of getting a commission in the military early on. It's often not looked fondly upon by officers who came up through the enlisted ranks first.

Grumpy Scot

Question: What did Sylvia actually die of? I didn't catch it in the movie, if it was there.

Answer: Sylvia Llewelyn Davies and her husband died of cancer within a few years of each other (although he was actually alive during Barrie's relationship with his family).

The One After Vegas - S6-E1

Question: In the breakfast scene, Joey is informed that it is a self-serve buffet, and he says "This is where I win my money back." What does this mean? Does he intend to place bets with people about how much he can consume?

Answer: He means he will eat so much of the casino's food that it will make up for the money that he lost to the casino by gambling.

Myridon

Answer: During the War of the Last Alliance (the battle against Sauron shown in the prologue), the men who inhabited the White Mountains (those between Gondor and Rohan) swore an oath of allegiance to Isildur. When he called on them to fight, they refused, so Isildur cursed them to walk the paths of the Dead until they redeemed themselves. In time, they all died, but their spirits remained - they were unable to move on to whatever awaits men after their deaths. At the time of the War of the Ring, they've been in this state for three thousand years, which has left them with a deep hatred for the living. Only when Aragorn, Isildur's heir, comes to them and calls upon them to finally fulfil their original oath, are they finally able to move on.

Show generally

Question: Does anybody know that last name of the family. I have watched almost every episode and I don't think it has ever been mentioned.

Answer: There has been speculation that the last name of Malcolm and his family is "Wilkerson." The name appeared in the title of the pilot script, but Linwood Boomer who wrote the pilot script says the family name has never been disclosed because they didn't want the family to fall into any specific ethnic group. Although on the DVD cover, the episode information refers to them as Wiskerson.

Randy DeShong

Question: Is the man who married Ivy's sister, Kitty, the same man who was supposed to escort Ivy into the woods, but chickened out before going in?

Answer: Yes. His name is Cristoph Crane.

Question: At the end when David wakes up, who is the woman's voice telling him to open his eyes? Is it just a generic woman from LE, or is it someone more important?

Answer: There's no indication that it's not just one of the people at LE.

Alone in a Crowd - S11-E15

Question: NBC's website lists that Ming-Na stars in this episode. However I never saw her in the episode and she's no longer included in the opening credits, hasn't been for several episodes. Can anyone point out to me where in the episode she appeared?

Answer: She is no longer on the show - her last episode was "Twas the Night". They must have not yet taken her out of the opening credits.
