Question: Ignoring the meteor metahuman powers, couldn't Jonathan Kent say the signature was a forgery, and he didn't sign it? It didn't seem to be notarized. He doesn't remember signing it or know what Rickman said to him to get him to sign it, so what would the courts or a lawyer say if Kent just said that's not his signature, or he didn't sign it? And how ironclad could the contract be without the date filled out?"Twentieth" day is typed out, but the month and year is blank.

Continuity mistake: When Lionel is watching the video and drawing Kryptonian symbols, some of the symbols change in between shots. For example, when he draws "minion" one of the dots is touching the square. When he writes the word, everything is nice and neat and the dots aren't touching anything.

Other mistake: When Clark is in the girl's room and a noise comes from the closet, Clark uses his X-Ray vision to see there's a person in there because he can see the skeleton and is surprised to see it's Lois when he opens the door. However, it's been shown before that Clark can use his X-Ray vision to see objects and people through solid objects. He should have been able to see that it was Lois rather than just a skeleton of an unknown person.

Continuity mistake: When Lionel and Lex are talking, after they sit down, near the end of the conversation, Lionel asks who Lex's source is. Lex is looking straight ahead. In the next shot, we see Lex turn his head to face his father. In the next shot, Lex is looking straight ahead again.

Question: How realistic is Lana's physical therapy scene? She says she broke her leg in 4 places and hasn't walked in a month. She's seen struggling to walk using the metal bars to support herself, which Adam seems to suggest she could do "another lap" but that she quit. But then after struggling to walk, she's given her crutches and the therapist leaves, leaving her to walk on her own with crutches. If she struggled with the bars, could she use crutches? Or would she be in a wheelchair?

Trivia: When Clark is on the computer, there's an article about a teen becoming the fastest man alive, normally a title for the Flash. The article names the teen Scott Higgs though, who isn't the Flash. The article says he ran the 100-m dash in 2.4 seconds, which is about 93 miles per hour. In the article it said the old record was 8.5 seconds. In real life, the record in 2001 was 9.79 seconds, so it seems the Smallville universe has several fast metahumans.
