Continuity mistake: A vehicle (or the camera) is driven toward the setting sun and the sun falls below a higher elevation, but the vehicle continues driving in the sun, even when another higher elevation is approached. (00:01:40 - 00:02:15)
Continuity mistake: When Oscar is on the phone to learn about the location of the job interview in the warehouse district, the paper that was on top of the payphone jumps suddenly in the hand that holds the receiver to his ear, with the phone call already being over. (00:22:25)
Continuity mistake: By the end of the film, we realise that the Djinn (in this case an invisible and shape-shifting earthly entity of Islamic lore) has staged most of the film's events as a mass illusion. Meaning, the Djinn is a deceiver and can lead humans into dangerous and even deadly situations, but the Djinn cannot perform physical miracles (or else the whole movie would end almost as soon as it started). At the story's climax, the lead characters, Khalid and Salama, end up in the 62nd-floor penthouse of a luxury high-rise, where Khalid drops Salama to her death from the penthouse balcony, just as the vengeful Djinn intended. However, only minutes earlier, we see that the high-rise building is actually still under construction, and it's stated that the building is months away from completion (its main entrance and plate glass have not even been installed). The Djinn only created the illusion that the building was completed to deceive the lead characters. In reality, without electricity and functioning elevators and hundreds of feet of completed stairwells, there was no physical way for Khalid and Salama to reach the 62nd-floor penthouse suite of the high-rise for the climax scene, even if they were being deceived by illusion.
Continuity mistake: After Dan meets Gretta he walks her to the subway. A girl with a cell phone is coming up, but in the next shot she disappears.
Continuity mistake: When Swifty is calming the horse, and the scrap dealer exclaims, "He's fast!", Swifty has his face pressed against the horse's nose; in the cut to the long shot, Swifty is suddenly facing the horse, looking up at it. (00:25:00)
Continuity mistake: In the first story, when the guy with the balls under his chin is making a toast, the amount of vodka in the glasses changes when the camera angle changes. (00:08:30 - 00:09:30)
Continuity mistake: Emily Smith-Dungy just kicked her bags in the snow. Her neighbour and schoolmate Kat drives by and offers her a ride home. Emily after initially rejecting her help accepts it; the trophy switches hands from the first quick shot to the next. Her scarf is also positioned differently. (00:08:40)
Continuity mistake: After stabbing the bad guy at the beginning, Callahan for some reason pulls back and somehow dives past a door managing to drag in a grown woman who was all crouched down by the entrance. Wonky physics of it aside, the bad guy shoot at him, but shoots just a hole in the door frame. The hole appears to be CGI, and in fact when Callahan shoots back from the bedroom, the hole is gone. Continuity mistake: The Sheriff and Leslie have an exchange in a coffee shop. As she walks past him, he says "How's the ex? You hear from him?" While saying this, his head turns to his right as he watches her go by and he is level. The shot changes to a closer one at a side angle and suddenly he is looking down at his plate. (00:42:55)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film you can hear a kettle whistling. But when Alvin removes a teapot (not a kettle) from the heat the whistling stops, but when he puts in back on the heat about 5 seconds later there is no whistle. Alvin doesn't remove a whistle cap or turn off the heat. (00:02:30)
Continuity mistake: When Irving goes to see Carmine near the end of the film, his glasses start out being tinted, but when he takes them off, as Carmine hits and kicks him, the tint has gone; even outside they're tint-free.
Continuity mistake: Max is wearing a suit jacket while he is beating a young woman. He throws her against a dresser and then when he goes to pick her up he is in shirtsleeves.
Continuity mistake: As the movie ends, the heroes walk from the trashed red robot towards the ambulance & trucks, and the woman sitting in the ambulance has a blanket over her shoulders, then there's no blanket, then it's on her knees, then her shoulders, then it's gone...
Continuity mistake: It is mentioned in dialog that during the last bird attack (the first film), a red rain was visible that seemed to drive the birds mad. However, at no time during the original film is there any red rain visible.
Continuity mistake: The Appraiser puts the condemned tape across Dorothy's wrecked porch. The tape from the bottom right to the upper left is the one in the front of the other diagonal line, but then it's the other way around. (00:07:30)
Continuity mistake: When they are discussing whose pinkie gets cut off, Vince grabs Craig by the neck and pushes him against the refrigerator. Craig is first shown pushed against the right hand side of the refrigerator, but whenever the camera is on him for the rest of the scene, he is shown standing against the left hand side of the refrigerator.
Continuity mistake: In the first scene, Duncan is sitting to the right side (if we are looking at him) of the back seat of the station wagon. When they are taking the luggage out of the car, there are now bags piled up in the seat on the right side.
Suggested correction: Absolutely no telling how much time has passed between the two scenes. With them being on a road trip, they could have stopped for gas, food, bathroom breaks etc and moved the bags around at any time. Even Duncan could have just done it by himself mid-transit to make a little more room on the floor for his feet.
Continuity mistake: The English teacher enters the classroom for her first lesson. She writes her name on the blackboard. Her name is written in at least 2 different styles that randomly switch during the scene (easy to tell from the double underline; the two strokes connect with the circle of the capital initial of her name, or stop at the tail).
