Game of Thrones

Season 7 generally

Question: Just what size relationship would the dragon eggs be compared to the adults? In season one, we see the eggs as being roughly the size of eggplants or a child's football, at the start of Season 7, the dragons thereof have grown to 747 (whale?) size. Just how big would the laying mother have been? Even if she reproduced in the equivalent of a teenage pregnancy, the size of the dragons in past seasons, her offspring would have been dust motes compared to her. If Season 7 represents them fully-grown (and think about it if they are not!), the dragon's biological mother would have been truly gargantuan compared to her offspring.

Answer: In the universe shown in this series, dragons can technically grow indefinitely. They continue to grow throughout their lives. They will stop growing, however if they live in captivity in a confined space. There is therefore no standard size for an adult dragon.

Answer: The dragon of Aegon the Conqueror, the first king of the Seven Kingdom Balerion the Black Dread was so massive it could attack the megacastle of Harrenhal by itself. Free dragons not locked up in confinement can grow to whatever length it can. This is why Drogon is larger than his brothers Viseriyon and Rheagal.

The Queen's Justice - S7-E3

Question: When Jon Snow and Davos visited Daenerys on Dragonstone, at some point, Varys runs in and whispers to her. Then she said something in Dothraki to a Dothraki who was there. What exactly did she say? The subtitle is missing here. Other foreign lines were included but not this. (00:17:35)

Bunch Son

Chosen answer: According to the Dothraki Wiki (!), she says: "Idriso jin mahrazhis gacheshaan mori. Ti morea chek, vosma vitihiri mora." = "Escort these men to their rooms. Treat them well, but keep an eye on them."

The Queen's Justice - S7-E3

Question: Why were the captured and imprisoned Ellaria and Tyene Sand both with their shirts opened and their midriffs exposed?

Answer: As mother and daughter are being paraded through the streets, they are wearing their usual Dornish clothing. Dorn, located in the south, has a hot, tropical climate. Dorn residents generally wear lesser and lighter-weight outfits year-round. This is what they were wearing when Euron Greyjoy captured them.

Fire and Blood - S1-E10

Trivia: One of the severed heads on a spike is that of former president George W. Bush. Before shooting the scene, George RR Martin asked writers and producers David Benioff and D.B.Weis to have a cast of their 3 heads to be put on the spikes, but for budget reasons they opted to get a box from HBO's warehouse with used severed heads. They noted that one was Bush's, but they put a wig on it and got away with nobody noticing. In the Blu-Ray commentary the producers revealed the story, and got a lot of criticism from the right.
