Andy and the Gentleman Crook - S1-E21

Visible crew/equipment: When Aunt Bee is in the kitchen preparing to take a tray of food to the prisoner she momentarily walks out of the kitchen through the swinging door. As she pushes the door open, a crew member's hand and arm can be seen behind the door.

Barney's Replacement - S2-E2

Visible crew/equipment: When Andy and Barney are in the squad car talking about the crooked stop sign, in both of their closeups we can see the black tape that had been applied to the chrome trim of the squad's windows, presumably to prevent reflections. That tape is gone from the driver's side when they park in front of the courthouse.

A Warning from Warren - S6-E6

Visible crew/equipment: After Goober has deliberately removed the distributor cap from Andy's squad car, when Andy slams the hood shut we can see the reflection of the filming crew on Floyd's window. Then when Andy and Helen drive away in Goober's truck, the microphone pops up into view at the bottom of the screen. (00:17:20)

Howard's Main Event - S8-E6

Visible crew/equipment: After the shot of Milly holding hands with Howard (holding a picnic basket), when it cuts to Goober sitting in front of the courthouse the camera angle is low, so the wood framework and lighting equipment at the top of the courthouse set is visible, just as Andy walks over to Goober. A Trip to Mexico - S8-E3

A Trip to Mexico - S8-E3

Visible crew/equipment: After Aunt Bee's flight lands, when it cuts to the hotel lobby there's rug on the floor extending from the front desk to the stairs, but in the next shot as Aunt Bee and her friends walk into the lobby that rug is gone (this doesn't refer to the small rug behind them). Also note the tape mark on the floor where the bellhop stops the luggage trolley.

Goober's Contest - S7-E30

Visible crew/equipment: When Aunt Bee drives her car up to the gas pump at Wally's station and then wins the five dollars, the reflections of crew and filming equipment are visible on the surface of her car. Also, note that the chrome trim around the windshield is covered with black tape, presumably to prevent reflection. Additionally, during all the scenes at Wally's station, the back end of one of the quonset huts from the "Gomer Pyle, USMC" set are visible, either at the left side of the screen or in the background.

The Sermon for Today - S4-E4

Visible crew/equipment: Barney shows up with the concert sign while Andy's sawing wood, and when he and Andy talk about it, the shadow of the boom pole/mic is moving around on the ground, at the lower left corner of the screen. More of the boom's shadow is visible again, when Gomer shows up and they talk about Goober. (00:14:30)

Opie's Group - S8-E9

Andy: Clara, sometimes a parent can't see what he should do, and sometimes it takes a person from the outside to show him. And I'd like to thank you.
Clara: Groovy.

The Darling Baby - S5-E12

Question: Why is it when they were on the show the Darling sons never spoke? Would they be paid more if they did, or was this some sort of joke?

Rob245

Answer: It was a joke. They were supposed to be dumb hillbillies.

Both. According to later interviews with both Andy and the Dillards band (the real name of the band that played the parts of the Darling children, of which Charlene (Maggie Peterson - Mancuso was also a member) the reason the Darling boys never had any lines was because they would've had to have been paid if they spoke. In return for appearing without lines or pay, Andy promised to get as much of their music onto the show as possible which, he did. This obviously gave them a lot of exposure.
