Continuity mistake: A bear escapes from the zoo and Benjamin finds him in the woods. The bear knocks the gun from Benjamin's hands, then faces him and growls. In the close-up, Benjamin's hair is blowing, presumably from the force of the growl, but in the preceding and following long shots, his hair is motionless.

Continuity mistake: When Scarlet Johansson is unable to lock the door to the lion enclosure and is in danger of being eaten, there is a brief shot where a chain and open padlock can be seen hanging on the fence just behind her, then both items disappear for the remainder of the scene.

Visible crew/equipment: In the scene with the realtor in the car, the green screen and cameras are visible in the realtor's glasses. They continue to be visible in his glasses off and on throughout his scenes.

Continuity mistake: During the zoo's opening day, five red kites are shown flying in the sky, but in the shot of the people holding the kite strings, there is absolutely no wind and all the trees and grasses are completely still.

Factual error: When Benjamin's brother arrives in his car with the bear's fish, he opens the trunk with a remote key. The car is a Mercedes 240 Diesel (to be more precise, a W123 series), built from 1975 to 1986. Mercedes first introduced a remote key system to the W140 series at the beginning of the nineties. Continuity mistake: In the noise scene, while beating pots and pans, McCreedy's pan breaks and hits Robin. However, in the final cut of the scene, the pan appears to be whole.

Other mistake: When Walter Farris drives up in his DEA pickup, it has California plates and not federal GSA plates.

Visible crew/equipment: When Benjamin and the kids are in the car driving to their new house, followed by the moving truck, in the interior close-up of Benjamin the vehicle's reflection is visible in the windows across the street, and we can see the production equipment attached to the vehicle's windshield area.

Continuity mistake: When Rosie hands Benjamin the listing for the Rosemoor property, the house in the listing's photo is not the house on the property, it's entirely different.

Continuity mistake: When Benjamin and Rosie are in the car with the realtor, Benjamin's holding the report with the residential listings, and at the top of all the listings the dates read Mon, Jan 3, 2011, though it's 2010 that the movie takes place.

Continuity mistake: After Benjamin and Rosie pick what to keep and what to give away, it cuts to the shot of their car driving up the street followed by the moving truck, and the driver is wearing a white shirt, but in the closeup Benjamin is wearing a dark shirt.

Continuity mistake: When MacCready is throwing darts at photo of Walter Ferris, he gets one right on the mouth, but then it's gone and there are only 4 darts, then cut to the side shot and there are many more darts all over the photo.
