Trivia: The frequency for the radio station 745 is not an error. It's like having a phone number start with '555' to prevent people from dialing or harassing the person who owns the number. Same with the radio station. They don't use real ones for good reason.

Trivia: Though named differently, all the state leaders (plus the governor of California) shown in the movie are of the same gender, ethnicity and general appearance as their real-world counterparts who ruled in 2009.

Trivia: "Farewell Atlantis" was the fake working title of the film, the same name as the book written by Jackson Curtis in the story.

Trivia: It isn't adequately discussed, but if the new South Pole is in the middle of Wisconsin (44N/90W), then the new North Pole is in the neighborhood of St.Paul island(44S/90E), in the southern Indian Ocean. One can only assume they are referring to the magnetic poles, not the axis that the earth rotates around, otherwise Africa would be as hospitable as northern Canada.

Mistakes

Plot hole: During the later parts of this movie there is much talk about 'continental displacement' and this appears to be happening in the film. The Earth's crust is falling apart because of the heating of the inner core, and all the cities seems to be falling apart since the ground can no longer hold them. When our cast finds themselves surprised to be already over China when they figured to be over the ocean, it is explained that Asia has actually moved from where it was. If this phenomenon is taking place globally, how come the monks in China don't seem to have been disturbed at all? In fact the bell the monk rings as the ocean approaches hasn't even been shaken. The arks are built in between the mountains, but the mountains are apparently fine. Shouldn't they be falling like the rest of the crust?
