Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory

Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where the group enters the weird elevator with the escher wallpapered walls when the shot looks from the back of the elevator you can see the shadow of the camera/light reflector on Mr. Salt.

DJKostya

Visible crew/equipment: When Wonka finishes handing out the Everlasting Gobstoppers, you can see the shadow of the cameraman on Wonka as he walks away.

Piemanmoo

Visible crew/equipment: White microphone equipment is visible in Mr. Beauregarde's shirt pocket throughout the movie. This is particularly noticeable when he tells Wonka not to talk to him about the contract.

Visible crew/equipment: There is a cameraman shooting near the gate of Wonka's factory: he is strategically placed to get up close shots shown in the movie yet he blends in to the crowd to make the movie audience think he is one of the many media technicians filming the event of Wonka opening his factory. Later, when the guests are passing through the gate, the cameraman has disappeared.

Suggested correction: The Cameraman is part of the news crew that was filming the event all around. Not a mistake.

The point being is that the cameramen in the crowd are part of Director Mel Stuart's film crew, getting angles and footage of the crowd for the movie without hiring additional crews to get the same shots.

Visible crew/equipment: In the invention room, Veruca's dad talks to Wonka. The camera gets close to them. On the bottom of the frame is either a shadow of the camera or the boom mic.

Visible crew/equipment: When everybody first comes in the main room with the chocolate river, there is a shot of all of them standing in the doorway. At the bottom of the scene is the shadow of the camera.

Visible crew/equipment: In the Fizzy Lifting Drink scene, as Wonka leaves the room, a bubble machine is just visible at the bottom left of the screen.

Revealing mistake: When Charlie and Grandpa Joe drink the fizzy lifting drink and are floating in the air you can see the hook that is connected to the wire that Charlie is being held up by.

Question: When Charlie goes into the candy shop and gets a Scrumdiddlyumptious bar, he gobbles it down and the man warns him he'll get a stomach ache. The fifth golden ticket had been found (or so Charlie thinks at this point), so he can't be digging for it. I've never understood: what was the point in eating it so fast?

Macalou

Chosen answer: In the original book, Charlie has an obsession with chocolate that he only satiates once a year on his birthday. Also, at this point in the book, the Bucket family is going through an extremely hard time and Charlie has had less food than he usually would have, so he is EXTREMELY hungry.
