Diana/Helene returns and wakes up from the Middle Ages after she's beheaded for being supposedly being a witch; Diana chose to die because if she had lived on, she would've changed history. Satan tells the researcher/knight that since Diana "died" in the past, the way back to the present no longer exists and the researcher is stuck in the past forever...
