Home Alone ending / spoiler

Kevin beats the crooks with booby traps place throughout his house. But they catch him and are about to kill him when the guy with the shovel (who turns out to be good) saves him. The crooks are arrested. Kevin's mom arrives home on Christmas morning and the rest of his family arrives shortly after. The old man with the shovel reunites with his estranged family.
