Halloween II ending / spoiler

Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasance) finds out that Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis) is actually Michael Myers' sister. He goes to the hospital and stops Myers from killing Laurie having her escape and Loomis blows himself and Myers up in the room....or does he?
