The Final Cut (2004) plot summary
In the future, parents can pay to have their unborn children planted with a chip that records their life through their eyes. "Cutters" can then put together significant moments for the families of the deceased to watch to remember them by. This process is called "Rememory" and Alan H. Hakman (Robin Williams), a man traumatized by an incident in his childhood, is the best cutter of the Eye Tech Corporation. Allan is hired to prepare the final cut of the memories of the Eye Tech lawyer Charles Bannister. Fletcher(Jim Caviezel), an ex-cutter, wants Bannister's chip to bring down the company with the lawyer's misdeeds. While viewing the chip, among other things, Alan finds a man who could be a kid he thought he accidently killed as a young boy.
