Village of the Damned (1995) ending / spoiler
The kids make Kirstie Alley knife herself. Alan goes to the children's school with an explosive inside a suitcase. They try to read his mind and he blocks his thoughts... but not for long. He successfully blocks his thoughts and while the children are trying to go into his mind, Jill and her son David escape. Alan isn't able to block this thoughts for that long and the children read Alan's mind and seconds later the explosive detonates killing Alan and the children.
