The Lawnmower Man (1992) plot summary
Dr Lawrence Angelo has been testing VR sytems on monkeys. After this backfires, Lawrence wants to test VR system on humans, to make them smarter. Lawrence tests this on Jobe, a man with low intelligence. Jobe becomes very smart, but the tests has a horrible side effect.
