Quadrophenia (1979) ending / spoiler
Jimmy doesn't end up with Steph because she's now dating his friend. When they're fighting about their relationship, Jimmy gets mad and rides his scooter, which ends up being torn apart. He falls off and get's run over by a truck. Dissapointed, he goes to Brighton and sees Ace working as a bell boy. Jimmy takes his Vespa scooter and drives it off a cliff. It does not show whether he dies or not because when the scooter is going down, he's not there.
